A new workspace is taking shape

An open-source home for your coding agents.
More freedom to build. More room to go further.

THE SPACE BETWEEN IDEA AND DONE

Stay with the thought.
Not the tool.

You’ve found your flow. The plan makes sense. The code is coming together. Then your agent hits a limit.

We’re building Moonfold for what happens next: a workspace where the task can outlive the tool you started with.

A WORKSPACE WITH ROOM TO GROW

Many moving parts.
One clear head.

Moonfold builds on T3 Code’s open-source foundation, bringing your projects, conversations, and code into a shared workspace.

01 / MORE CHOICE

Your agents. Under one roof.

Keep your own provider accounts and CLI workflows. Moonfold brings the workspace around them, with room for more providers as the project grows.

02 / YOUR GROUND RULES

A place that feels like yours.

A local-first architecture, your own repositories, and your own provider logins. Your machine is the starting point for your work.

03 / THE BIGGER PICTURE

Keep the whole thread.

Projects and conversations belong beside the code. Worktrees and diff review give you a clearer view of what your agents are changing.

BUILT IN THE OPEN, FROM DAY ONE

Good things grow
when they’re shared.

Moonfold is an independent, MIT-licensed project built on T3 Code. You can read the source, follow the decisions, and help shape what comes next.

We’re early. The foundation is here; the Moonfold experience and cross-provider handoff are still being built. Follow along as the next chapter takes shape.

What exactly is Moonfold?

Moonfold is an open-source, local-first workspace for coding agents, built on T3 Code. It brings projects, agent conversations, worktrees, and code review together. Its headline goal is continuity across providers when an agent reaches a usage limit.

Can I use it today?

The source is available for developers to explore and build. Moonfold is still in early development; a packaged beta and the provider handoff experience are planned. For current setup instructions and progress, read the development guide.

Which coding agents does it work with?

The T3 Code foundation includes adapters for Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Grok, and Antigravity. Gemini CLI is planned for Moonfold. Availability and verification vary by provider; the progress log records what has actually been tested.

Do I need my own subscriptions?

Yes. You use your own provider accounts and authenticated local tools. Moonfold is a workspace around those tools; it doesn’t include model credits or pool, share, or resell provider access. Each provider’s pricing and terms still apply.

How will provider handoff work?

The planned workflow preserves a task brief with the goal, decisions, code changes, and open questions, so another provider can continue. Review before switching is the intended default. This is a roadmap feature, and native provider sessions aren’t interchangeable.

Is this an official provider app?

No. Moonfold is an independent project and a fork of T3 Code. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Cursor, or T3. Provider names are used only to identify integrations.
